About

About

Tara H. Gould, MSW, LICSW

At Integrative Transformations LLC, the focus is on finding balance between the mind (thoughts/beliefs), body (physical well being) and spirit (emotional well being). Every person's needs vary and the goal is to create positive transformation through integrative modalities to meet each person where they are at. For some, it may be a need for more self-care and boundaries, while for others, it may require more therapeutic interventions to affect behavioral concerns. Some people just want someone to talk with in a safe environment; because the greatest healing comes out of fostering positive relationships. All of these needs are addressed here and are determined by you and your therapist working together.

At Integrative Transformations LLC, these are some of the more common issues that may be addressed:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Grief

  • Trauma

  • ADHD

  • Adjustment Disorders

  • Life Transitions

  • General Relationship Challenges

  • Couples Therapy

  • Personal Growth and Self-Esteem

Tara H. Gould, MSW, LICSW believes in an integrative approach with a focus on self-healing through empowered choices and balance. She is intensively trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and holds a certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice for Children, Youth, and Families from Boston College; where she also received her Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health. Tara is also trained in multiple other interventions and will work with you to determine which approach fits best for your specific needs. She aims to help others achieve their goals through the use of evidence-based practices, as well as, integrative and holistic practices to aid with an overall life balance. She believes in a person-centered, strength-based approach in a proactive and positive environment.

Individual therapy affords a safe, supportive and confidential atmosphere to work on personal needs and issues that may create an imbalance in one's life. This can be due to life transitions, adjustment issues, general life or social stressors, trauma, grief, and/or behavioral health and substance related concerns. All are valid and can disrupt balance within our lives. During a lifetime, no one is exempt from needing help at some point. Therapy is one avenue towards obtaining this goal.

Clinician will provide a Superbill upon request if your insurance carrier reimburses for out-of-network providers (it is the client's responsibility to verify if your insurance reimburses for out-of-network providers and to submit claims for reimbursement accordingly).  A Superbill is a detailed invoice/receipt outlining the services a client receives, which can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement if it meets all necessary criteria. NOTE: In order to meet reimbursement criteria, client MUST meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis, per the DSM-5-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Ed., Text Revision). Any diagnoses made will be kept on file with clinician and will be listed on the Superbill to show eligibility for reimbursement.

Q: When is a Superbill NOT appropriate?

A: When you are utilizing in-network insurance; when client wishes to keep their therapy private from any 3rd party (i.e., health record, insurance company, personal relation, etc.) - (any exceptions to this are listed in the privacy policy listed below in Contacts); when client does not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis, as insurance will not reimburse without a mental health diagnosis; and when your insurance does not reimburse for out-of-network providers.

Q: Why would someone prefer to be private pay, without using insurance (either in-network or out-of-network)?

A: There is no need to submit an official mental health diagnosis to client's health record; insurance will not be able to dictate limits on how many sessions you may attend; you will be able to engage in simple talk and problem solving/validation without having to qualify for a mental health diagnosis; and freedom to engage in your therapy at your own pace, without feeling pressured for outcomes.
